NO SWEARING / PROFANITY
NYIP is a professional educational institution. Simply put, any swearing or profanity is unacceptable on this forum. Any posts found that contain swearing will be removed.

NO INSULTING OTHER USERS
We are all here because of our love for photography. Some of us have different levels of experience, some have different views. It's okay to have a difference of opinion, but there's no need to get personal over it. Being rude to other members is not acceptable, and may result in your account being revoked or banned altogether.

NO NUDE PHOTOGRAPHY
In the interest of keeping this forum an all-inclusive forum, please do not post any photos that could be considered nude photography. Any posts found that contain nude photography or other objectionable images will be removed.

USE APPROPRIATE TITLES
Titles like “Help Me”, “I'm Stuck”, “Printer”, etc. serve little value in a forum. Try to be short but descriptive when submitting your post. Think about what you are really trying to say or ask before submitting your post.

PLEASE REFRAIN FROM DISCUSSING POLITICS OR RELIGION
There are plenty of other outlets on the internet for politics and religion - so please don't post them here.

ATTITUDE TOWARDS MODERATORS AND ADMINISTRATORS
Disrespectful attitude towards Moderators and Administrators will not be tolerated and is subject for your account being revoked or banned altogether.
NO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
Only one account per person is allowed.

POSTING
The photo must be your own original work - you may not re-post any other members' photos without permission. As a photography school, NYIP take ownership of photographs and copyright very seriously. For your own protection, NYIP strongly encourages you to put copyright information on all images posted.

Photos: 800x800 pixels, max 256Kb per photo. 2 photos per post maximum.
Make sure that you are posting in the correct section and discussion thread of the forum.

Posts made for the sole purpose of increasing your post count will result in your account being suspended.

THREAD HIJACKING
In short, thread hijacking is strongly discouraged.

Thread hijacking is the derailing of a thread's original topic and the development of a new topic within the same thread. While it is true that many topics will naturally go off-topic after a while, please respect attempts to keep a thread on-topic. If the new topic is of sufficient interest, start a new thread instead. Moderators may remove off-topic posts, create a new thread with off-topic posts, or remind offending members to stay on topic.

NO SPAM
On our forum, spam is defined as "intentional, unsolicited, blatant advertisements that have no relevance to photography."
Spamming the forum will result in a permanent ban.
Using Private Messaging as a marketing tool is strictly forbidden.
"Vote for me" posts will be seen as spam. Posts will be removed and the member will be banned.

SOFTWARE PIRACY
Posts related to software piracy in any way will be removed and may result in your account being revoked or banned altogether.
