http://www.mediafire.com is a good file sharing site, if one want's to share the actual raw file.

this shot reminded me of Thomas Kinkade...

Lance, how do you do the shadows behind your photo?

I do not know how he is actually doing it, but you can download an action to that here

i recorded the steps in what Photoshop calls an "Action". which adds a white canvas, drop shadow and "stroke" around the image. did this so long ago i'd probably have a hard time making it again...lol

i find the best Actions are the ones i make myself, for repetitive tasks. Robert points to a good link for Actions and such. but you can download the one i use here if you like. all one needs is Photoshop and i think it won't matter too much which version you have. it's pretty basic.

G'day,

I was intrigued by Kathryn's partial B&W treatment. Thought it would be interesting to convert the reflections of wall and buildings into B&W, keeping the vegitation, water, and swan coloured. More so if the sky is also coloured.

Then I thought "Buzzell, you idiot! This is Delft!!!!!!! What does Delft mean? Blue!!!!"

So I went back to my original treatment (I still think everything on the left of the original photo is superfluous), converted to B&W, gave it a high contrast red filter and reduced the blue filter (to bring out the sky). Then gave it a blue tint.
