At this moment I am still working on the indoor location portrait an the window light from the unit 4 assignment. It seems that I am not coming up with ideas or people who are available for any of the two subjects.

Can someone give me an nice but easy idea.

Not much help, but if its any consolation, I'm struggling with finding people and ideas for those same two.

Hi Judith,

Inside location.

Do you have children? If so try to create a nice portrait of a child in her or his room with her or his favorite toy.

Friends? Perhaps you have friends you can photograph at there home or other inside location by them self or with a prop like music instrument or hobby stuff, that show some personality as well? Maybe a friend at her or his work location?

Party? Is there a party coming up? Plenty of opertunities at a party.

Portrait with window light.

The simplest idea is just to ask some one in your household to pose next to a window and use a reflector for some fill. I have my daughter pose for me next to the window. If no one at home is aviable... friends, co-workers?

E P van Beveren, Heather, teresab,
Thanks for your input.
E P I dont have children, but I can use the children of my sis, which I already did at the children pose. My husband doesn't want to pose for me.

Can I still do another one with children, than your idea is perfect. Can I see that as working space. If that is ok I can try. Because the children of my sister are availalble.

Thanks for your inputs on the window lights.

Judith

Perhaps you can go to a place where people meet, like in a bar or pub. I don't know your situation, but if you see someone you like (as in having good looks and think might like a free photo) just walk up to her or him and explain you need a model.

In the beginning I worked with my kids exclusively but then somehow out of the blue, I ended up with "straingers'.

Do you have a way to remotely trigger your camera's shutter or does it have a timer release built in? Might be a bit difficult to judge the lighting before the shot, but why not try a self portrait?

And after all, you do need a picture for your avatar :)

There are windows at malls and grocery stores too. I wonder if someone at a grocery store would agree to pose.
